With this image I quickly saw the opportunity to play around with the shape of the skateboard by extending the characters forehead to the upper extremities of the board. I also experimented with the different effects that could be achieved by adapting the basic black line art. I tried highlighting certain parts of the line in different colours and then duplicating it to create some element of depth to the imagery. In the upper left two examples I developed this idea further by adjusting the opacity of the lines to give an almost 3D glasses effect. I particularly like the green board at the top and think the use of white text beneath the line art works well to add depth to the piece.
